Pluto Finance closes £1.5m loan to refinance development in Penarth, South Wales

We are excited to announce the closing of a £1.5m loan to refinance a truly unique development in Penarth, South Wales.

This project, managed by LoftCo, involved the careful restoration and modernisation of an Edwardian Methodist church, built in 1906. The building has been beautifully transformed into a vibrant, modern business hub, preserving its historic soul while equipping it for contemporary commercial purposes.

This loan highlights our ability to provide efficient and clear financing solutions for bespoke property projects.

Stephen Ryan, Lending Director for Wales at Pluto Finance, commented, “Supporting the refinance of such a distinctive project has been hugely rewarding. Collaborating with LoftCo and the legal teams was a very smooth process, and we're proud to help preserve historic sites while enabling their transformation into thriving spaces for modern use. We’re especially excited about fostering growth and innovation in the Welsh property sector, and it’s a pleasure to be involved with projects that contribute positively to the region’s future.”

The team at LoftCo shared their experience: "Working with Pluto Finance was a seamless process. Their communication was excellent, and the efficiency of the refinance was impressive. They understood our vision for the project and provided the straightforward support we needed to move forward with confidence."

We are proud to support developers like LoftCo who are committed to delivering inspiring and high-quality commercial spaces. We would also like to extend our thanks to Acuity Law and Bruton Knowles for their support on this project.
